ResilientResilient
Marmoleum is a natural linoleum made from linseed oil, wood flour, and jute — fully biodegradable and inherently antimicrobial. We supply and install Marmoleum in sheet and tile form for residential and commercial applications.
Substrate must be flat, smooth, and dry. Marmoleum is acclimated, adhered with recommended adhesive, rolled firmly, and seams are heat-welded to create a seamless surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Marmoleum and vinyl flooring?
Marmoleum is made from linseed oil, wood flour, limestone, and jute - all natural, renewable materials. Vinyl is petroleum-based plastic. Marmoleum is biodegradable, naturally antimicrobial, and has much better environmental credentials. Vinyl is typically less expensive and slightly easier to maintain, but Marmoleum is the healthier and more sustainable option.
Does Marmoleum actually have antimicrobial properties?
Yes - linseed oil, the main binder in Marmoleum, continues to oxidize after installation, creating a surface that is naturally inhospitable to bacteria and mold growth. This is not a coating that wears off - it's built into the material itself. That's why it's a popular choice in healthcare, schools, and childcare environments.
How long does Marmoleum last?
A properly installed and maintained Marmoleum floor will last 25-40 years in most applications. It's one of the most durable resilient floor coverings available. The colour goes all the way through the thickness, so even as it wears, the appearance remains consistent.
What maintenance does Marmoleum require?
Marmoleum needs regular sweeping and damp mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner. It should be re-polished periodically with Marmoleum-specific maintenance products to protect the surface and keep it looking fresh. Avoid excessive water and harsh chemicals. It's not as low-maintenance as vinyl, but the tradeoff is a much longer lifespan and better environmental profile.
